Bishop Walter Harvey

President - National Black Fellowship & National Exec. Presbyter
Walter F. Harvey is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. He was elected in August 2021 to serve as an Executive Presbyter (which is a General board member) of the Assemblies of God, representing 24 ethnic fellowships. He currently serves as the president of the National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God, which sponsors the WI+H movement that has the vision to transform every urban pain point through a disciple making movement and using business as a tool of justice.  Walter has served as both an executive presbyter and ethnic/language group presbyter for the Wisconsin/Northern Michigan Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. He is a frequent speaker in churches and conferences across the country. He also served as lead pastor of Parklawn Assembly of God in Milwaukee, WI for 28 years (1992-2020). Parklawn recently went through a rebrand and is now known as The Embassy Center Milwaukee. He continues to serve as the apostolic leader there, coaching leaders and focused on church multiplication and community impact, while also serving as CVO Chief Visionary Officer of the church’s PRISM Economic Development Corporation.  He holds a Bachelor of Science In Psychology from Marquette University. He has served on various local and national committees and boards and has served professional and college teams and athletes as a sports chaplain. He and his wife Judy, (of 37 years) enjoy basketball and watching the food network.

Pastor John Davis

Superintendent of WNM Ministries Network
Pastor John Davis is the Network Superintendent of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan for the Assemblies of God. He has served thirty years of faithful ministry as lead pastor of Poplar Creek Church in New Berlin, WI, along with serving on numerous boards. He has been in the ministry for 38 years and has also served as President of the Board of Directors of City on a Hill – an inner city ministry in Milwaukee – and as a Member of the Board of Regents at North Central University, Minneapolis, MN. In May 2018, Pastor Davis earned a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Leadership through the Graduate School at North Central University. Pastor John has a shepherd’s heart for the people of the Body of Christ. The mercy and grace of the Lord shows through his actions and his anointed preaching and teaching. His passion is to have the people God places in his care walk closely with the Lord Jesus Christ and experience the power of His Holy Spirit.

Pastor Armin Colon

International/Christian Education Pastor ~ Discover Church
Armin Colón has thirteen years of pastoral ministry experience in intercultural settings. He serves as WNMMN Ethnic Presbyter and as the International/Christian Education Pastor at Discover Church in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He is bilingual (English/Spanish). He served ten years as a member of the Commission for Doctrines and Practices of the Assemblies of God. Armin holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He is finishing a Doctor of Ministry degree in the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel University. Armin, and his wife Joy, have been married for sixteen years. He enjoys baseball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Heath Adamson

Senior Vice President for Global Program - Convoy of Hope
Heath Adamson is Senior Vice President for Global Program at Convoy of Hope. He earned his PhD from the University of London. Heath is an author, most recently of Grace in the Valley and The Sacred Chase. His favorite place to be is with his wife Ali, and their two daughters, Leighton and Dallon.

Pastor Darla Rakes

Ambassador to Students & Donors ~ Evangel University
Darla Rakes is a dynamic leader with nearly four decades of ministry experience. In addition to serving as a student pastor in Oklahoma and Missouri, she has held various other positions in Florida churches and, most notably, as a co-lead pastor with her husband in North Carolina. She currently serves as Evangel University’s Ambassador to Students and Donors. Her preaching inspires and awakens people to rise up from every false identification and discover the power of their true identity in Christ.

Dr. Michael Rakes

President of Evangel University
Dr. Mike Rakes serves as the fifth president of Evangel University a role that he assumed in August 2021. Dr. Rakes has significant experience in higher education, serving as chair of the Board of Trustees at Oral Roberts University, Vice President for Student Development at Southeastern University (in Florida), and founder and president of Bridges Christian College. In addition, Dr. Rakes has served as a church planter, pastor, consultant and curriculum writer in Florida, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He also has been a member of the global ministry resource organization Empowered21, where he served as liaison to Spirit-empowered scholars. Prior to coming to Evangel, Dr. Rakes and his wife Darla served as co-pastors of Winston Salem First for 15 years. Dr. Rakes is a graduate of Central Bible College and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He also holds several degrees including a Doctor of Ministry degree from Biola University. Dr. Rakes and Pastor Darla are committed to equipping compassionate innovators and position them for immediate impact into every vocation around the world. Dr. Rakes says often that, “This generation is not a problem to be solved but are God’s answer to the division and brokenness in our world.”
