As ministers, we are often called to support individuals facing challenges beyond the scope of our formal training. In this breakout session, a professional counselor and pastor will equip you with practical tools for listening to and providing spiritual care to congregants who have experienced trauma. The focus will be on approaches that promote understanding, offer appropriate support, and help prevent re-traumatization.

Ministry is not a typical 9-to-5 job. For many ministers, the boundaries between personal life and vocational responsibilities can be unclear-often leaving family and close friends uncertain about where ministry begins and ends. In this breakout session, a panel of ministers will share practical insights on cultivating a healthy home life, establishing rhythms of rest, and developing sustainable patterns of work that support long-term ministry.
